Winter sports

Alta Badia, with the vast selection among different winter sports, has become a much loved destination of many guests, which besides skiing, are looking also for other sports and activities to in order to spend their vacations in the best way

• Cross country skiing:
  
  For cross country skiing we recommend S.Cassiano / Armentarola, very loved for the excellent slope preparation across a fantastic landscape.
  At the starting point are the cross country ski school and the ski service for renting both skis and boots.
  Length: track 19 km
  Gradient: 190 m
  
  
• Equally advisable is the S.Vigilio di Marebbe center for cross country skiing. There is also a ski-service and ski school, and the track leads to the Pederü refuge, the entrance to the "Fanes - Sennes - Braies" natural park.
  Length: 23 km
  
• Winter excursions:
  
  Guests, who in the winter don't want to renounce the stupendous excursions, find 80 km of carefully prepared itineraries at their disposition.
  Particularly stimulating is the excursion to the Ospizio di S.Croce across the fields of Armentara, characterized by a cloak entirely of crystalline snow and by the majestic white peaks. There is absolute silence, like magic.
  
  
• The ski school organizes alpine skiing excursions, pole and Nordic walking. You can find all the maps of the area's best excursions at our Reception.

Besides the above mentioned sports, there are numerous activities for our clients to choose from:

• Sledding: on slopes in the middle of uncontaminated nature, or on slopes with a lift.
• Ice skating at the Corvara skating rink
• Curling on frozen lakes
• Excursions on horse drawn sleds
