HIKING HALF-MARATHON TRU DI PRA IN LA VAL

Step by step through the sea of flowers of the Rit and Armentara meadows

The hiking half-marathon Tru di Pra takes place every year in June with start and finish in La Val. The path leads through an impressive natural and cultural landscape on the high plateau of the Rit meadows to over 2000 m and then to the Armentara meadows under the Dolomite peaks of the Kreuzkofel. Flowering mountain meadows, cool forests, pine fields, mountain streams, a sulphur spring with radioactive water, photo points for souvenir photos, culinary stations with local products, fun and games for young and old characterise this half-marathon.

SELLARONDA HERO

One of the toughest mountain bike marathons in the world

Every year in mid-June the Sellaronda Hero takes place, probably the most exhausting mountain bike race in the Dolomites. In an almost heroic way, the participants have to cope with a lot of kilometres, endless ascents and thousands of metres in altitude. There are two different routes to choose from: the Marathon distance runs over 85 km and 4,500 vertical metres, and the Classic distance over 60 km and 3,400 vertical metres. Both routes start in Selva Val Gardena and pass through the beautiful but demanding Dolomite passes of the Sella Massif and the Sassolungo.
